Life is challenging.
Are you feeling challenged in your life by stress, money, loss, anxiety, work, expectations from self or others, relationships with friends, family, co-workers, or partners in life – pre, mid, post commitment?
Are you experiencing issues with a major event and now face the challenge of coping or transitioning, self-esteem, fear of failure or decisions or moving forward?
Whatever the challenge you are facing today, counseling can help you find your path to your authentic self and a life you love and deserve.
Counseling can be what you make of it; therefore, I utilize a multifaceted program of therapy (solution focused, client-centered, Cognitive Behavioral) in order to address your challenges which are as unique and individualized as are you. In other words, I am flexible in my approach. My goal is to meet you where you are in your journey and together, we will take the steps necessary toward living the life you want to live.
My counseling journey began at the start of my career in education as a teacher. When I was not teaching, my time was spent with my students listening to their stories, struggles, and concerns. I discovered that I loved helping others in this way. Counseling and teaching through counseling became my passion. I have spent my counseling career working with adolescents and families in private practice and in the school counseling setting. My practice has transitioned into one that promotes growth and change in individual adults and couples. I am trained in mediation and as a collaborative law counseling facilitator. My practice specializes in women’s issues, relationship issues, and individual transition issues. I assist employers, employees, students, athletes, and professional performance artists in the process of tapping into their core self to release the optimum level in talent, skill, and productivity.
During your counseling journey, my role is to help guide you in your discovery of the challenges you are facing and then reflect your feelings, statements, and actions in response to your identified challenges.
We all need someone to listen and reflect to us (without fear of judgment) the story we tell of our struggles; therefore, counseling is meant for each one of us at some point in our lives. I believe this is the reason you are here learning about how I can be here for you – if you choose.
Challenges impact every part of your life – mentally, physically, spiritually, so let’s start your journey today. Now.
